Things to Remember when Choosing Pokémon

Remember the "three tips" on choosing your Pokémon to win more Battles!

[Point 1] Choosing an Effective Type

  • Pokémon have Types and Move Types.

The relationship between the attacking Pokémon's Move Type and the defending Pokémon's Type changes the damage greatly!

Move a Meza Tag forward in its lane to see your Pokémon's effectiveness against the opponent!

Your Pokémon's effectiveness will show up as "It's effective!" "Hit," and "It's not so effective..."

[Point 2] Speed

  • [Blue Line]You attack first. [Red Line]Your opponent attacks first. [Red Line]Your opponent attacks first.

Whichever Pokémon in Battle has the highest Speed ("SPD" on the Meza Tag) will attack first!

Even without looking at the numbers, you can slide a Meza Tag forward in its lane to see which Pokémon will attack first!

If the line divider is blue, you attack first! If the line divider is red, your opponent attacks first!

  • Lucky! First Attack Chance!

Uh oh...your opponent is attacking firs—! Nope! It's time for a "First Attack Chance!"

If you get a "First Attack Chance!" hit the buttons fast to push the divider line away!

If the divider line turns from red to blue and shows a "Success!" then you get to attack first!

[Point 3] Is your Pokémon Tired?

  • Pokémon that attacked in the previous Turn are Tired!

If you try to attack using a Tired Pokémon, its Speed goes down, making it so you can't use the Attack Roulette.

Try using a Pokémon that isn't Tired yet!
