What is an Event Tag Battle?

In Event Tag Battles, Trainers on the left and right consoles play together to Battle against a pair of Trainers!

Playing through an Event Tag Battle

Have a try at Special Mode!
Press "1" and "2" at the same time to go into Special Mode.

Choose "Event Tag Battle!"
After you set your Trainer ID and the system loads, choose Event Tag Battle!
*You can Battle Trainers even if you do not have a Trainer ID.

Have the Trainer next to you go to Special Mode and then Event Tag Battle.
The Trainer next to you needs to press "1" and "2" at the same time to go into Special Mode!
After you set your Trainer ID and the system loads, Choose "Event Tag Battle!"

Please Insert Coin(s)
for both players to play! -
The two screens combine into one to turn into a special stadium!
Two screens come together as one to form a special stadium where both Trainers take on a Battle together!

Have Fun with the Event Tag Battle!
Take on a Battle with a two opponents (six Pokémon) and you with another Trainer (six Pokémon)!
Win by knocking out all six of the opponents' Pokémon!
*You can use three Meza Tags each (a total of six Meza Tags)
*When the Battle ends, you go into Bonus Catch Time. You will not be able to Battle Wild Pokémon.
*You can Battle Trainers even if you do not have a Trainer ID.
