Special Mode

Go into Special Mode to Battle with a Trainer!

What is Special Mode?

  • When you see "Special Mode" at the bottom left of the main screen, press the Left and Right buttons at the same time!

    Go into Special Mode to Battle with a Trainer!

    Do you have what it takes to beat these unique Trainers?

    Show off your favorite Pokémon and Battle it out!

    *New Trainers appear in-game for each Version.

  • Go into Special Mode to Battle with a Trainer!

    Choose whether or not to take on the Trainer in Battle!

    *After a Battle ends in Special Mode, you go into Bonus Catch Time. You will not be able to Battle Wild Pokémon.

  • You've knocked out two out of four Pokémon!

    Knock out all of your opponent's Pokémon to win!

    *You can Battle Trainers even if you do not have a Trainer ID.
